Last Sunday, I worked brunch at a restaurant in Cold Spring, NY. the restaurant has a magnificent view of the Hudson River and mountains on the opposite side. but this day was terribly windy and even strong enough to blow over tables and chairs and send leaves swirling in the air creating mimic cyclones. even though this was an overcast day, there was something beautiful about it. the strength of the winds created white caps in the water, which is unusual for the river, at least in this area. something about the water seemed mesmerizing to me and I constantly found myself looking at it. if it were up to me i would have turned off the Motown Hits CD and blasted the Minus the Bear song, "Throwin Shapes." this picture is somewhat deceiving because its very sunny in it but its the best i could do. it looks like it was taken from the parking lot of my restaurant.
