So this Saturday morning, I woke up and went on a hike again with the girl. It was 11.3 miles, and was a beautiful area. I've never seen mountains so exposed.

Point Mugu

So a little over a year, a few new close friends, 14 metrocards and 2 goldfish later, I have decided to move out of Brooklyn. I'm not breaking up with the city completely, we will continue to keep in touch and remain close friends. But as for now, my new lover is awaiting about 3,000 miles west and goes by the name, Los Angeles.I wait for days, even years in this tree stand.
Hoping that the game will come my way.
I must remain quiet and patient for what seems like a lifetime,
as the snow falls on my stiff, cold fingers.
Alone in a tree stand, your thoughts start to wonder.
Through all this waiting, and lonesomeness I think about the hunt.
I want to gain an edge, increase my chances of encounter.
I think about the challenges of this game.
After all, don't want to leave these woods empty handed.
The thing about it is,
you cannot outsmart it.
It finds you when the time is right,
and hides from you when you look for it too avidly.
Myth recommends traps and lures,
but no method can guarantee a catch.
Sometimes the harder you look,
the less likely you are to cross it.
A certain amount of apathy and unexpectedness is required.
It varies in speed and strength,
and is a master of disguise.
No one knows for sure its appearance,
but it is perfectly clear when you attain it.
That's when you realize,
you're not in a tree stand at all.
